Don’t Look to Camus for Encouragement

Albert CamusI wasn’t actually looking for something to cheer me up, I was looking for something to express my current mood without having to put the feelings into my own words. That’s just narcissistic. Instead I went to my favorite quotations page and found this from Albert Camus:

“He who despairs over an event is a coward, but he who holds hope for the human condition is a fool.”

I’m not sure, but I think he’s saying that I’m a foolish coward. Wow. What a jerk.
