Although some songs (Brel, Dylan) demand attention. I have a hard time listening to Brel without trying to figure out what he’s talking about. I know what you mean about not hearing the lyrics the first few times listening to a song, but I’ve noticed that I hear and understand them much more clearly – and quickly – now that I’m a little older. When I was a teenager, I couldn’t understand the lyrics in many songs without looking them up. But even if you look up the lyrics to a song, or you can hear it clearly, it’s still sometimes difficult to understand the meaning behind the song (if there is any), and it’s hard not to find your own meaning in the song.
And thanks for posting that song. It was pretty good. There are a few international bands that I listen to, but all their songs, for the most part, are in English.
